why a brain? rs logo explanation!

analytical and verbal skills, vs. creativity, intuition, artistic and spatial perception. ok. what does this have to do with the rs logo?

we all know that the human brain is divided into two hemispheres with distinct but complementary functions and characteristics.

each hemisphere tends to be more involved in certain types of cognitive processing: the left hemisphere is generally associated with logical, analytical and verbal skills. it is the processing centre for language, mathematics and sequential problem solving. it also tends to be more orderly and structured in its approach.

the right hemisphere is more associated with creativity, intuition, artistic appreciation and spatial perception. it is responsible for recognizing visual patterns, the emotions underlying non-verbal communication, and understanding music and the visual arts.

if only logic is emphasized, fresh and original perspectives in problem solving may be lost. if only creativity is emphasized, ideas may lack viability or structure.

so, in the end, a balance between logic and creativity enables more complete and holistic thinking. integrating both perspectives can lead to a more effective approach and more creative and adaptive thinking in a variety of situations.

that is why we, at rational sparks, wanted to integrate the best of both hemispheres in the logo: a simple reflection of how we want to help our clients and partners find creative and flexible solutions based on data, but also on emotion. does that make sense? 🙂
