FIND
THE SPARKS
team dynamics. sparks community
from the big challenge to the practical solution!
at the first meeting of our SPARKS COMMUNITY, made up of professionals from different sectors, areas and roles, we demonstrated how, in less than 5 hours, we could move from a big, undefined challenge to concrete action plans to achieve it:

this is a short to medium term challenge, so it is necessary to work with a combination of long term thinking tools (forecasting) and short term thinking tools (solutions to be implemented tomorrow):
0. we start by putting ourselves in the situation (EMPATHISE!):
- what does this challenge suggest to us, what does it make us think about, what does it make us feel?
- can we place this challenge in a specific context?
- who will have this problem? How will they act/react?
1. we start from the past to the present, and look for ‘signs’:
- primero pensando nosotrxs mismxs, luego ayudándonos de herramientas de inteligencia artificial, vamos conformando el contexto del gran reto y nos vamos focalizando en el problema en el que nos interesa profundizar realmente.
- buscanfirst of all, we think about news, events that happen in our own company or in sectors very different from ours… any help is valid to comment on CONNECTIONS and to find links, RELATIONS that help us to investigate.
- we “put ourselves in the shoes” of the person who is going through the problem to be defined, we define who he/she is, what worries him/her, what motivates him/her? all in order to get to the real problem more quickly and in the short term, which we can identify with all this information.

FROM PROBLEM
TO OPPORTUNITY

2. with the opportunity defined, it’s time to think about our preferred future…
- we think about different alternatives of probable, possible, plausible futures (we use futures thinking, design thinking, specific tools for the team working in a way that enhances their creativity and analysis). what is the future we want?
- we place ourselves in that future. what are we already doing, using our opportunity?
3. we know where we want to go… we can start defining the strategic lines/actions to get there!
thus, starting from a need to be taken into account 4 years ahead, the three groups ended up defining a feasible action plan for the specific problem they had identified, which could end up being their opportunity, i.e. the concrete project to be tackled to achieve their goal.

all this in less than 5 hours… can you imagine what it would be like to go from a blank sheet of paper to seeing, after following all the tools, how that problem, which you haven’t defined very well, becomes a very concrete opportunity for which you can find a way, even indicating implementation deadlines? well…. it is possible!
“it was a luxury to learn from such experienced professionals, methodologies and dynamics that help companies to analyse the future in such a comprehensive way and turn challenges into opportunities. rational sparks’ guidance and experience in leading the process is indispensable!”
